Some of the Hop‘n’Vine team are heading to Queenstown in June to experience the New Zealand IPA Competition being held by our friends at Smiths Craft Beer House.
The event runs from Thursday 22nd through to Saturday 24th and features a mouth-watering array of beers from and equally mouth-watering array of brewers. Big names such as Behemoth, Epic, Garage Project and 8-Wired among others will all be represented along with some great local brewers including Wanaka’s Sidewinder, BEffect and the boys from Ground Up.
If you are in Queenstown or planning to go up any time during the competition, make sure you head along to Smiths, 53 Shotover Street, Queenstown. You can find out more about the event at www.smithscraftbeer.co.nz.
It turns out that will be a pretty busy week for us as before we head off to Queenstown we have Norm from Catlins Brewery hosting a beer tasting at Level One on the evening of Wednesday 21 June. Norm was a bit of a hit at the festival, so if you enjoyed the beers then, or want to give new ones a go, then this is a must. Tickets can be purchased from reception at the kelvin Hotel.
